Delivering Results: Summer 2010 Update on the Long Range Facilities Plan
On June 24, 2010, school officials delivered an update on the implementation of the Long Range Facilities Plan. Already four schools are complete, seven schools are under construction and two schools are in the design/bid process. More specifically:
- The LRFP budget is on pace to meet the $296 million level approved by the Minnesota Department of Education.
- The LRFP is on schedule to meet the goals defined by the community and deliver great benefits to Duluth students and taxpayers.
- The favorable economic environment has allowed the district to add value to the LRFP with no overall impact on the project budget.
- The tax impact to local residents has been lower than projected.
