Upgrades
Under the Long Range Facilities Plan, the current East High School will be upgraded and remodeled for future use as a middle school. Students currently attending East High School will attend a new eastern high school at the site of the current Ordean Middle School. Design and construction timeline for East
Construction has begun. The exterior upgrades and the new artificial surface for the Eastern Middle School multi-sports field have been completed already. Construction of the acquatics addition and the first phase of interior remodeling is scheduled for the summer of 2010. Remodeling of the remaining interior areas will begin in the fall of 2011.

We are committed to completing the Facilities Plan on time and on budget, while also ensuring safety for all students and staff and working with as many local contractors and laborers as possible. Construction schedules will continue to evolve as we balance these commitments throughout implementation of the Facilities Plan.
